Messaging Integrations

Messaging integrations are different from data providers. While data providers passively import your activity to build your AI IP, messaging integrations let Aiven actively participate in your conversations — reading your emails, drafting replies, chatting with you on Telegram, and more.

Gmail

Connect your Gmail account and let Aiven handle your email. He reads incoming messages, understands the context, and either drafts replies for your approval or sends them automatically — all written in your personal voice.

How It Works

Gmail integration connects Aiven directly to your inbox via Google's API. When a new email arrives, Aiven:

  1. Reads the incoming email content (sender, subject, body)
  2. Checks it against safety filters
  3. Generates a personalised reply using your AI IP and preferences
  4. Either saves it as a draft for your approval, or sends it automatically

Two Modes

Mode How it works Best for
Draft Aiven drafts replies and waits for your approval before sending. You can edit, approve, or reject each draft. Users who want oversight on every email. This is the default mode.
Autopilot Aiven reads and replies to emails automatically, without waiting for approval. Users who trust Aiven's judgement and want hands-free email management. Opt-in only.

Credits

Email actions consume credits. Each email that Aiven processes (reading, generating a reply, sending) costs a small number of credits based on the email length. You can check your remaining email credits from within the app.

How to Connect

  1. Open Settings > Connected Apps in the Aiffinity app.
  2. Find Gmail and tap Connect.
  3. Sign in to your Google account when prompted.
  4. Grant permission for Aiven to read and send emails on your behalf.
  5. Choose your preferred mode: Draft (default) or Autopilot.
  6. Aiven starts monitoring your inbox immediately.

Managing Drafts (Draft Mode)

When Aiven drafts a reply in Draft mode, you can:

Pending drafts are visible in the app. You can review and manage all drafts from your Gmail connection screen.

How It Helps

Email activity can help keep drafts, replies, and related personalization features more consistent over time.

How to Disconnect

  1. Go to Settings > Connected Apps.
  2. Tap Gmail.
  3. Tap Revoke Access.
  4. Optionally, also revoke access from myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Privacy

Emails are encrypted at rest using AES-256. Gmail content may be used to provide email features such as drafting and reply generation. Your Gmail credentials (OAuth tokens) are stored encrypted and can be revoked at any time. Aiven never shares your email content with third parties.

Troubleshooting

Telegram

Talk to Aiven directly through Telegram. Send messages, voice notes, manage personas, and even purchase credits — all without leaving Telegram.

Troubleshooting

WhatsApp

Talk to Aiven through WhatsApp for quick conversations, onboarding, and app support. WhatsApp integration provides a familiar interface to get started with Aiffinity.

How It Works

Aiffinity's WhatsApp channel uses the WhatsApp Business Cloud API. When you send a message, Aiven reads it, generates a personalised response, and replies directly in the WhatsApp conversation.

24-Hour Trial

New users get a 24-hour free trial when they first message Aiven on WhatsApp. During the trial, you can:

After the trial period, continue talking to Aiven through the Aiffinity app or Telegram.

Account Linking

WhatsApp uses phone-based linking. If your WhatsApp phone number matches the one on your Aiffinity account, the connection is bridged automatically. No manual linking step is required.

How to Get Started

  1. Open the Aiffinity WhatsApp channel (link available in the app or on aiffinity.me).
  2. Send any message to start the conversation.
  3. Your 24-hour trial begins automatically.
  4. Talk naturally with Aiven — ask questions, get recommendations, or just have a conversation.

Current Limitations

How It Helps

If your WhatsApp account is linked, it can help keep supported replies and personalization features consistent, similar to Telegram.

Privacy

WhatsApp messages are handled on Aiffinity servers to provide AI responses. Messages are subject to both Aiffinity's Privacy Policy and Meta's Privacy Policy. You can stop using this integration at any time.
